La’Rissa Dwyer

Co-Founder & Hospitality Director

Born in Germany and raised in Tacoma Wa.

I have 18 years in professional retail experience. The past 7 years in corporate as a District Manager covering the PNW including Alaska. I lead/managed high volume up to $66 million and 300 employees per year.

I have a passion for people, drive for results, strength in operations and marketing. I excel in creating and executing plans for growth, building teams and increasing revenue year after year. I am detailed oriented, and solution driven. I am extremely analytical and enjoy networking and volunteering in the community.

My passion for wine started many years ago. I would spend time visiting vineyards, taking trips to Eastern WA to stay connected to the wine industry. Fast forward, during one of my routine visits to a local winery in Graham WA, the owners let me know that they were going to sell their winery that they had built over the past 13 years, and I WAS ALL FOR IT. After great time, research and contemplation, I decided to jump all into the wine industry with my own story to share starting from the ground up. Since launching back in March- We have received weekly emails, messages and phone calls asking when people can experience our tasting room. I am ready for the next step, my husband is ready for the next step, and most of all OBK WINERY has grown so fast and is ready for the next big step of opening a brick and mortar/tasting room.

Michael Dwyer

Co-Founder & Head Winemaker

Born and raised in Renton WA.

I have always had a passion for music and people. I am extremely creative, patient, love the science behind everything and love to research and study.

I have spent the past 6.5 years at UPS as a warehouse Supervisor. Where my passion for people is flexed daily as I am able to hire, coach, train, lead others and drive profitable sales for UPS.

I pursued my passion for wine and studied Viticulture at Yakima Valley Community College in Eastern WA. With the continued support from my former teacher Trent Ball, my mentors in the industry, and relationships built with farmers/ vineyard managers, OBK has a solid foundation and a great success and much more growth to come every year.

I am beyond excited to take the next step of my journey in the wine industry and be able to share my knowledge, my passion, my wine with our community in our very own tasting room.

Our Roots & Philosophy

OBK Winery was born from a simple belief: wine should bring people together in authentic, meaningful ways. What started as weekend conversations over shared bottles evolved into a dream to create something lasting—a place where craft meets community, and every guest feels like family.

Our decisions are guided by three core principles: honoring the vineyard’s natural expression, fostering genuine connections with our community, and practicing mindful stewardship of the land. These values shape everything from our sourcing partnerships to the way we welcome guests into our tasting room.
