La’Rissa Dwyer

Born in Germany and raised in Tacoma, WA, La’Rissa brings 18 years of professional retail experience—including the last 7 in corporate as a District Manager covering the PNW and Alaska. She has led high-volume businesses up to $66M annually and teams of 300 employees per year.

People-first and results-driven, she has deep strengths in operations and marketing—building teams, creating and executing growth plans, and increasing revenue year after year. Detail-oriented and solution-driven, she’s highly analytical and actively engaged in her community through networking and volunteer work.

Her passion for wine grew over years of visiting vineyards and spending time in Eastern Washington. During a routine visit to a local winery in Graham, WA, she learned the owners were ready to sell after 13 years. After careful research and reflection, she decided to jump in—starting from the ground up with her own story to share. Since launching in March, OBK has received steady interest from guests asking when they can experience a tasting room. La’Rissa—and her husband, Michael—are ready for the next step: opening a dedicated brick-and-mortar tasting room for the OBK community.

Michael Dwyer

Born and raised in Renton, WA, Michael pairs a love of music and people with a curious, science-minded approach. Creative and patient by nature, he enjoys research and continuous learning—qualities that inform his work in the cellar and with guests.

For the past 6.5 years, he has served as a UPS Warehouse Supervisor—hiring, coaching, training, and leading teams while driving profitable operations. He pursued his passion for wine by studying Viticulture at Yakima Valley Community College in Eastern WA. With the continued support of his former instructor Trent Ball, mentors across the industry, and strong relationships with farmers and vineyard managers, Michael has helped build a solid foundation for OBK with exciting growth ahead each year.

He’s beyond excited for the next step: welcoming the community into OBK’s own tasting room to share knowledge, conversation, and the wines he creates with La’Rissa.

Woodinville Custom Wines is where OBK selects fruit, hand-harvests, and transports from Eastern WA—then ferments, produces, and bottles. This state-of-the-art space offers clay amphoras, concrete eggs, and a collaborative community of 30+ wineries.
